How to Install Ghost on Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) w/ Homebrew
If you prefer to use Homebrew instead of Macports or installing from source, here are the instructions on how to install the Ghost blogging platform on Mac OS X.
- Install Homebrew:
ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"
- Update Homebrew:
brew update brew outdated brew upgrade
- Install Node.js:
brew install nodejs
- Download and unzip Ghost into a specific folder
To install Ghost you need to sign into your Ghost account at ghost.org and get the URL for the latest Ghost source code
cd /path/to/ghost/folder sudo npm install sudo npm start
