How To Reset Ghost Database During Development

If you are developing on Ghost or just taking Ghost for a test drive to see what is all about, you may want to start fresh. Luckily with Ghost, the database reset process is very straight forward. To generate a new database all you have to do is to stop Ghost delete the database, and start Ghost again.

  1. Stop Ghost
  2. Move to your ghost/content/data directory
  3. Delete either the ghost.db or ghost-dev.db depending on if your using production or development environment
  4. Start Ghost

When Ghost starts, it checks if there is a database file and if not it generates a fresh one for you.
